Six Named Commended Scholars
Six Seniors Named National Merit Commended Scholars
Six Bishop Watterson students have been named National Merit Commended Scholars based on their performances on the 2022 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT).
Dylan Crumbaugh (St. Brendan) is a member of the marching band’s drumline. He also participates in concert band and plays CYO basketball and volunteers with vacation bible school and at the Dublin Irish Festival. Dylan plans to attend Loyola Marymount University and major in screenwriting.
Michael Daniels (St. Michael) is a three-year Student Ambassador as well as a member of the boys soccer team and the American Sign Language Club. His service to the community includes the Buddy Walk, Special Olympics, St. Michael Festival and Mid-Ohio Food Collective in addition to making care packages for newborn babies. Michael plans to double major in mechanical engineering and international relations in college.
Katie Driscoll (St. Michael School/St. Joan of Arc Parish) is a member of the varsity softball team and National Honor Society as well as the Morgan’s Message and American Sign Language Clubs. She plays softball for the Mid-Ohio Bullets travel softball team and serves as a volunteer assistant basketball coach at St. Michael. She has participated in the Buddy Walk and has served as a volunteer for Special Olympics, St. Michael Festival, Christ Child Society and St. Joan of Arc sandwich packing. Katie plans to major in pre-occupational therapy in college.
Max Melaragno (St. Brendan) is the Student Council Treasurer and a Student Ambassador and plays on the varsity football and lacrosse teams. He is also a member of the Morgan’s Message and Fishing Clubs. He has volunteered for St. Brendan, the Bishop Griffin Resource Center and St. Lawrence Haven. Max plans to major in engineering in college.
Pierre-Andre Geoffrion (St. Brigid) is a member of the varsity track and field team. He has volunteered at the Columbus Metropolitan Library help center and as a track coach for the St. Brigid team. Pierre-Andre plans to major in computer science and engineering in college.
Everest Veliu (St. Agatha) is a member of the marching band and has been a member of the Business, Chess, Creative Writing and Investment clubs. He plans to major in business in college.
