Three Named Commended Scholars
Three Bishop Watterson students have been named National Merit Commended Scholars based on their performances on the 2020 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT).
Kate Drab (St. Brigid School and Parish) is the Student Council secretary and International Thespian Society treasurer, has served as a Kairos Retreat leader and is a Student Ambassador and the crew manager for the fall drama. She is also an intern for Ohio State Representative Adam Miller and an Ohio Attorney General Teen Ambassador Board member. Kate has served as a Homework Help Center Volunteer and Interns-4-Good Tutor. She plans to major in Biomedical Engineering in college.
Evie Owens (St. Brigid School and Parish) is a Student Ambassador and a member of the varsity soccer team, In the Know team and National Honor Society. She is also chairperson of the Charity Committee of Student Council and volunteers at the Mid-Ohio Foodbank. Evie plans to major in Mathematics in college.
Veronica Worley (St. Brigid School and Parish) is a member of the National Honor Society, the Mock Trial Team and the Political, French and Creative Writing Clubs. She also participates in the musical theatre program and has served as a volunteer at St. Brigid’s after-school care program. Veronica plans to major in Finance in college.
