Italian Students Involved in Columbus Italian Festival
Dance Practice for BWHS Italian Students
The Columbus Italian Festival will take place this year at St. John the Baptist Italian Catholic Church on October 6, 7 and 8.
The BWHS Italian students are featured this year in a variety of ways, which represents the inaugural collaboration between the Festival and local high school students.
Friday, October 6
6:30 PM: Presentation on the Cultural Stage – Genova, our sister city
Saturday, October 7
12:30 pm: Presentation on the Cultural Stage – Genova, our sister city
1:30 pm: Presentation on the Cultural Stage – Guess Who? Famous Italian-Americans
1:45 pm: Presentation on the Cultural Stage – What’s the scoop? The difference between gelato and ice cream!
2-4 pm: Bishop Watterson High School Italian Language students present in their booth: The Gallery of Italian Regions
2-4 pm: Bishop Watterson High School Italian Language students present in the church: Contemporary Italian saints
2:15 pm: Presentation on the Cultural Stage – Vocal performance
2:30 pm: Presentation on the Cultural Stage – Vocal performance
5 pm: The BWHS Italian language students present the Holy Rosary in the Church
7:30 pm: The BWHS Italian language students join the San Giovanni Dancers on stage
Sunday, October 8
1:00 pm: BWHS students march in the Columbus Day Italian Parade
2:30 pm: Presentation on the Cultural Stage – You Can’t Hang Unless You Know the Slang
3:30: Presentation on the Cultural Stage – Genova, our sister city
4:30: Presentation on the Cultural Stage – What am I Ordering? Learn Italian through coffee
