“Although individual players are frequently recognized for good sportsmanship, ALL of my teammates at Watterson have displayed this kind of behavior. I don’t doubt that this originates from our Catholic education at Watterson, where we learn how to fundamentally respect everyone – including our opponents. Furthermore, the Bishop Watterson community has taught me not only how to be passionate about athletics but also how to be passionate about service. For this reason, I am tremendously excited to play soccer at MIT, where the community is just as dedicated to serving others and serving the world.”
–Megan Eberts
“From the very first moment I walked into the locker room, I will never forget seeing the quote from St. Augustine prominently posted up on the wall, ‘Work as if everything depends on you, pray as if everything depends on God.” I see this quote almost every day and it instilled in me a sense of fearlessness and a passionate desire to do everything in my power to make a difference. It reminds me that the ultimate work is God’s own.”
