Yellow Plan
Classroom Procedures
Students will be present in school each day with a blended-learning approach.
All students and teachers will wear masks. Student masks are to be a solid color or the masks provided by BWHS with the school logo. Surgical disposable masks are acceptable
Most classrooms will be limited to 20 people (students and teachers) at a time.
Students will be seated 6 feet apart in the classroom.
For classes with more students than seats: The balance of students above the number of seats will be assigned to an auxiliary area on a rotating basis. Once in the auxiliary area they will watch the lesson for that period live with ear buds/headphones. Students are asked to bring their own ear buds/headphones.
Facility Changes and Safety Procedures
Parents are asked to take student temperatures each morning prior to arriving at school. Do not send your child to school with a fever. Faculty members will be asked to do the same.
Hand sanitizing stations are located in each hallway.
Students will be responsible for cleaning their own desks prior to the start of each class, using their own cleaning cloth from home. The school will provide cleaning solution for each classroom which teachers will spray on desks.
Lockers can only be accessed before school, at lunchtime and after school. The time between classes has been shortened to discourage stops at lockers and congregating in the hallways.
Social distancing signs have been placed throughout the building.
Restrooms will be cleaned on a regular basis throughout the school day.
All visitors, limited to essential business only, must wear a mask when entering the building.
Parent meetings will be conducted over Zoom conferencing.
If a student is leaving early for an appointment or is ill, staff will escort the student to the car to meet the parent/guardian.
A nurse from Columbus City Schools will be on staff throughout the week.
Lunch Procedures
Students will be spread out in the cafeteria and auxiliary gym to allow for social distancing.
Cafeteria service will be provided with additional safety measures: social distancing in line, Plexiglass shields at cashier stations, and all items served by cafeteria staff.
Technology Changes
Cameras have been added to many classrooms.
Teachers will have Bluetooth headsets and teach using Zoom so that students can access the class from various locations.
Wifi access points have been added to auxiliary areas.
Gray Plan
Students who are remote learning must have adequate wifi access and be able to maintain the 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. school schedule.
Students will be expected to log in at the start of first period and watch all classes live from 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Teachers will take both in-person and online attendance each period.
All assignments will be submitted through PowerSchool.
Choosing gray is a commitment for the entire quarter. The deadline to sign up has been changed to August 20.

Orange Plan
Students will rotate between days on campus in class and days remote in class.
Red = students with last names A-K
Gold = students with last names M-Z
Teachers will teach and monitor students both in person and remote.
Students must have adequate wifi access and be able to maintain the regular school schedule of 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
