Bishop Campbell Visits Latin Students

Bishop Frederick Campbell recently attended the Advanced Placement Latin class of BishopWattersonHigh School.  After all of the Latin students had welcomed him with a rousing chorus of Gaudeamus, Igitur, he joined the small seminar of fourth year, AP Latin. 
The Bishop is an admirer and student of Vergil’s Aeneid.  Therefore he read Latin poetry with the class, discussed poetic devices that he recalled and shared his considerable knowledge of art history as well.  It was a gaudium (joy) to have him here.
