Senior Zac Simmons, son of Melody and Dan Simmons from Our Lady of Peace parish, built cupbards for the Mothers' Club storage area in Dominican Hall as part of his Eagle Scout project. Zac also donated all the money that was left after purchasing supplies to the Mothers' Club and presented the check to Mothers' Club President, Jill Greene, at the Mothers' Club board meeting on 9/5/12.

The Watterson Mothers' Club was organized 34 years ago. They raise funds through a variety of activities to help the school in any way they can and every Watterson mom is automatically a member. Through the years they have provided the school with a myriad of items - everything from classroom air conditioners to the beautiful stained glass windows in our north and south additions. Their most recent project, completed this month, are the window treatments in Dominican Hall. They are beautiful!

BISHOP WATTERSON MOTHERS’ CLUB COMMITTEES
BEAUTIFICATION:
Purpose: To maintain landscaped beds in front and on the side of the school; clean, mulch and plant flowers.
EAGLES NEST:
Purpose: To communicate with the Bishop Watterson Community.
EVENING OF REFLECTION:
Purpose: To provide an opportunity for Watterson mothers to get together for an evening of light social entertainment and enjoyment.
FALL FESTIVAL:
Purpose: To help promote Mothers’ Club activities, community/family spirit by sponsoring a booth at the Homecoming Festival. Set up several children games and sell Watterson spirit items.
FALL SOCIAL:
Purpose: To invite all Watterson mothers to an informal meeting and social, provide information and sign-ups for all Mothers’ Club events and committees throughout the school year.
FUNDRAISING:
Purpose: To conceive, solicit, and/or research opportunities to raise funds for Mothers’ Club. Following approval of the idea, committee will promote and execute the event.
MAY INSTALLATION:
Purpose: To organize the evening when current officers leave and new officers take over. We have Mass in the chapel and then adjourn to the library for a light dinner and short business meeting. This is the final meeting of the year.
MOTHERS OF ALUMS:
Purpose: To provide an opportunity for mothers to stay involved and connected to Bishop Watterson High School. All monies earned are used for need-based scholarships.
MOTHERS’ CLUB OUTREACH:
Purpose: To reach out to our surrounding community and increase awareness of Watterson and all that we offer.
SPRING LUNCHEON AND STYLE SHOW:
Purpose: One of the main fundraising events for Mothers Club. Tickets, raffle and silent auction proceeds to benefit the school.

Purpose: To provide, prepare and serve a special lunch for the entire faculty and staff four times a year. A way to recognize and thank them for all they do for our students

An Evening of Reflection

The Mother's Club invites everyone to our annual Evening of Reflection on Thursday, February 16th at 7:00 pm in Dominican Hall. Our featured speaker will be Sister Pat McMahon from St. Brendan's parish who will enlighten us and help us prepare for Lent as she speaks on "Grace: God's Light Within Us."
Please come to enjoy a relaxing time of prayer and reflection. We invite you to bring women friends and family members to share the evening with us and stay afterward for social time and refreshments.
