Bishop Watterson Saint Vincent DePaul Society

Members of the Bishop Watterson Saint Vincent DePaul Society recently got up early on a Saturday morning to make lunch for families staying at the Ronald McDonald House, a well-known center on Livingston Avenue where families of cancer patients being treated at Nationwide Children’s Hospital can stay during their children’s treatment.

Pictured below, Katie Hamrock and Bryn Dougherty put the finishing touches on the not-quite homemade chicken noodle and vegetable soups provided by the students. They also put together a sandwich bar, fruit, and a plethora of various desserts that were made by the Saint Vincent Depaul Society. A total of about 80 people were served lunch. The project was headed by seniors Carol Rieth and Maria Ritchey who hope to continue to serve the community through the SVDP society this year.
