Bishop Watterson is proud to announce the names of eight seniors who recently signed to play sports in college.

“We are so fortunate to have so many kids who put in the extra effort, bring the heightened attention to detail, and try hard to do what is asked of them,” said BWHS Athletic Director Mike Roark. “We wish them all the best of luck in their future endeavors and will continue to cheer for them and pray for them as they continue their individual life journeys.”
The athletes reflected on their paths to college athletic programs and the support they received along the way.
“Bishop Watterson gave me great academic opportunities and prepared me for college,” said baseball player Greg Jacknewitz. “Coach Manahan was huge in helping me get exposure to colleges.”
“I got the finest education possible at Bishop Watterson and feel prepared for my future at a college far away from home where I can grow both athletically, scholastically and in my faith,” said swimmer Samantha Schuttinger.
“My Catholic teachings have taught me to play with a positive attitude, morals and ethics,” said Abigail Hofmeister, a volleyball player.
Softball player Audrey Manahan said, “Every time I play a game I remind myself that all I have is because of God and everything I do is done in His name; athletics is no exception.”
Abigail Hofmeister, volleyball, Northwestern University, St. Michael School, a 4.0 scholar and member of the National Honor Society who scored an 800 on the math section of the SAT.
