Announcing the
"Bring Your Own Device" Pilot Program

Bishop Watterson High School provides school-owned tablet computers to the juniors and seniors to use in class and at home. In response to interest, and our own desire to allow Bishop Watterson students to consolidate devices and use more personalized tools to maximize their learning, we will be rolling out a program that allows students to bring their own personal computing equipment for use during the school day.

Right now, we are beginning a pilot of the "Bring Your Own Device" (BYOD) program with a group of students to ensure that a full rollout is smooth.

This pilot program is open to juniors and seniors. Right now, the rollout will be a one-for-one swap for the school-owned device.  Paperwork will need to be signed to ensure parents and students have an understanding and expectation of the responsibility and rules of use while on-site.  Laptops, tablets, e-readers and ipads are acceptable. Phones are not permitted, and school rules regarding phones will still apply..  Our Technology Department will add the Bishop Watterson wireless network password to enable students to connect to BrainHoney & other school-related websites while at school.

Anyone interested in participating in the program (now or in the future) click here. If you have any interest in being considered for the pilot program, please submit the form by January 31, 2013.
